Profile

I'm a PhD student in Human Informatics at University of Tsukuba, Japan. My research topic is augmenting embodied and social experiences by using wearable devices. My research interests include human-computer interaction, empowered people, exoskeletons, electrical muscle stimulation, virtual reality and wearable devices. Application fields include rehabilitation, medicine, and product designing assistance. I'm currently working on the study of 1) wearable devices that share kinesthetic experience among people based on biosignal measurement and stimulation, 2) wearable suit that can transform the wearer's embodiment into that of a child by using viewpoint translator and passive hand exoskeletons, 3) assistive toys for augmenting social interactions among hearing-impaired children, and 4) assistive exoskeletons for enhancing neurosurgical operations. Received more than 38 awards including Laval Virtual Award, Honorable Mention at ACM UIST SIC.
